While the Internet is full of batch editing software, there are few that offer a broad range of options like Easy Imager. It's not quite as easy as the name suggests, but if you take a little time to study it, you'll find that it's a great tool you can use to manage your images.

Downloading the 3 Mb package shouldn't take too long even on a slower Internet connection and installing the program will take a few seconds. If you download the trial version, you won't have to deal with any reminders of its demo state that get in your way.

Easy Imager isn't exactly a "to go" software. You will need some time to get used to the loaded interface. It's full of buttons, tabs, sub-tabs and lots of drop menus, check and dialog boxes. This doesn't mean that it will take forever to edit a number of images. Again, if you take your time studying the interface, you'll see that it's a program you can use for lots of image related tasks.

The main window is split into two large sections. On the right you'll be able to see a preview of the images you're editing and its original state. The left half of the window is the one where you'll spend most of your time. It's organized in four tabs according to the program's main functions: Source - Disk Folders, Image Conversion, Template and Web Album.

Under the Source - Disk Folders tab you can find four other tabs. The first one lets you browse your folders for images. Once you've selected such a folder, you'll immediately see its contents. The second tab features a search function with quite a number of parameters, such as whole words, case sensitive and more. The third tab is a picture list. You can add here images from different folders and save the list in the program's own format should you need to work with those particular images later on. The last two tabs feature a print screen and a crop function. Unlike other similar software, this one actually lets you crop by clicking and dragging a box over the image itself.

This is the way the other three main tabs are organized. Not all of them have sub-tabs, but they're still rich in options which make Easy Imager extremely flexible. The Image Conversion tab contains a great deal of settings, ideal if you have to convert more than one image. The program lets you convert their format according to what you need them for. You won't see options like "convert to BMP" or something of the sorts, but you will see options for converting to web page image, zoomiefyer, slide show and many more.

The final two tabs can be used for creating web albums. First is the Template tab where you can choose one of many preset album templates and make other index related settings. Other settings for the web album like a description, charset and others can be made under the final tab. You can also find the Build Album button here. Clicking it will create an HTML file and will automatically open a web browser for a preview.

The sheer number of options you have at your disposal are too many to count. If you just want to view images, edit more than one at the same time or create a web album, you can do it all from here.

Pros

There are lots of things you can do regarding images. It's like more than one picture organizer, all merged into a single interface.

Cons

While being loaded with options is not exactly a drawback (you actually need them), the interface looks a bit rugged if not old. From simply viewing images to batch editing, you can do a lot with Easy Imager when it comes to organizing your pictures. It's a software destined for most types of work that involves pictures.
